Teej or Haritalika brata is an occassion to remember the glories of the Lord Vishnu and Lakshmi.
To recall the Lord's glories one has to perform some degree of austirities so that this human form of body will have the capacity to grasp the devotion. Thats why on this occassion firstly fasting is recommended and then feast. This being the background in short, the Bhutanese sanatan dharma followers observe this day, normally with puja ceremoney. But because the puja ceremoney in the West is quite difficlut to perform, simple sankirtan yagya is recommended in this kali age. This sankirtan or collectively singing the glories of the Lord Krishna is performed joyfully along with the people of various background.
The Teej of the year 2012 among the Bhutanese was unique in Boxtel organised by this platorm BVCN. Dutch people and Bhutanese were invited. Quite a number of Dutch people participated with few Bhutanese refugees. Bhagavad Gita pravacan was held followed by discussiona and bhajan kirtan and sumptious prasad see fotos.
This occassion was also observed in Utrecht organised by a staff of BCN founded by the political portfolio holders Ram Karki and LP Dhakal. Very cunning behavior is still continued eveidently since they did not inform over this event to all the Bhutanese in The Netherlands, as a strategy followed by the present team also that was decided by the previous cc onder the command of Dhakal and Karki.
Observing the religious occassions is to drive away ills against anyone and it is hoped that people would unite despite the hate propagated by them as shown practically on the BCN inauguration day. My Lord Hari bless everyone with good attitide and pure wisdom.
